About us

Brodie’s Farm began in 2020 when we purchased a little patch of paradise in the leafy south west town of Western Australia called Nannup.

With 1 tree and knee-high weeds, we knew we had a lot of work to do. We started with a driveway, then power, then a water tank. From there we started putting trees in the ground and planning to build somewhere for us to live.

Now, 5 years on, we’ve got a gorgeous house, which includes space for holiday guests, over 200 trees, some of which give us produce, and we’re learning more every day.

We’re ready to share our beautiful space with the world and have a place for you to rest your head. We hope you’ll come and stay with us.

Why Nannup

We love the south west. We were living in Perth and knew we wanted more space for our little girl. She has special needs and we wanted her to grow up with wide open spaces to run around, when she learnt how.

Busselton is one of our favourite places – we got engaged and married there – but we knew lots of other people also loved it, so we’d have to go a little further afield to get the room we wanted at a price we could afford.

Enter Nannup! A gorgeous little town where there’s always something going on and close enough, without being too close, to have access to everything you need.

Our history

From 1 tree and knee high weeds in 2020, to a driveway, water tank, house and guest accommodation in 2025, we’ve come a long way.

When we were still living in Perth, we would come down on weekends and stay in our tent. For a bit of extra comfort, hubbie built this camp kitchen which gave us space to cook, clean and go to the toilet. It was all you needed to feel like you weren’t completely roughing it.

We started with the driveway, power and a water tank. We were also planting trees to accompany “Big Ben” – our 1 tree that came with the property.

We then moved on to the big stuff, like the house. We call it the Welsh Long House, and when you get here, you’ll see why.

We’ve also got a fruit forest and have just fenced off a back garden. Growing more produce and getting farm animals will be on the cards soon

See the progress

We love our piece of paradise in Nannup and it wasn’t much to look at when we first bought it. The views beyond have always been spectacular so we knew we could make it work. We hope you’ll agree.
